The Kids Army of Love is an unique project. Two foundations; Sea Heart Foundation founded by "Captain" Robert McDonald and Stichting Kid Survivors founded by Djamie Hillekens shared the same dream; a Kids Army of Love helping children in need worldwide ! The Kids Army of Love is a co-operation between the 2 above mentioned foundations, all our donors, all people that care about children and all children foundations who want to join. Together we form a care army for children; the Kids Army of Love ! We invite you to join the Kids Army of Love ! We invite you to show you care ! Let's show the world together we can make the difference ! What is our Kids Army of Love goal ? The Kids Army of Love makes sure that the Kids Army of Love project gets realised! An unique project, preventive help ! As Larry King wrote: "The Army of Love project, I must say it's about time someone did such an original subject as this for children !" The Kids Army of Love Project strikes against Home Ilness nr 1 ! Childspecialists Alison Wisner Fries and Seth Pollack have proven that children who get not enough attention and love in their early youth will suffer of serious brain damage. (Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences, nov. 2005) Many children growing up in children's homes carry around with them an invisible handicap their entire lives. Brain damage caused through a lack of the hormones oxytocin and vasopressin. These hormones are more commonly known as "Cuddle Hormones or Hormones of Love and Attention". Research has shown that children, who in their early lives have not received love or attention, produce very little of these hormones or not at all. A deficiency of these hormones results in a lack of trust towards others and makes normal social contact extremely difficult. One is not capable of attachment or loving. A serious and terrible handicap ! The Kids Army of Love project teaches older children in the children's homes to assist younger children. To cuddle them, to comfort them, to encourage them and to let them feel that they are of worth. Preventive help; these younger children start producing oxytocin and vasopressin, the handicap is reduced and no future treatment is necessary. The older children, who, because of their age must leave the children's home, receive an education and a job. Extensive training ensures that they too learn how to love, how to recognise and express their emotions. It works both ways ! Please join the Kids Army of Love ! A little more about Stichting Kid Survivors; Stichting Kid Survivors (stichting means foundation) was founded by a very happy and grateful adoption mother of an unique Chinese daughter. This mother feels a very strong obligation to all children "left behind". The children that will always have to live in homes because of their handicaps; emotional, fysical and / or mentally. Most of these children "do not exist", they are hidden in seperate compartments, hidden and sometimes literally in the dark. Kids Army of Love is one of our projects. We also support exsisting projects as: - the Harelip project The same boy, Dilmer, before and after his operation. Specialised surgeons (volunteers) perform life-changing operations. Children can eat, speak and move around again. They are given a future ! Costs per operation: Euro 320,- up to Euro 400,- (This includes speaking lessons and if necessary palate correction.)

Many children get burned in a terrible way. They can't open their eyes anymore, fingers can't be seperated, etc., etc. Imagine the pain. Costs per operation: Euro 300,- up to Euro 1.000,-
- Project Children's Homes / Foster Parent. Severely handicapped children, often abandoned, receive the chance to grow up in a foster home in their country of birth. The foster parents receive specific training to be able to deal with the special needs of the child. The children grow up in a warm, family environment, enjoying, developing and "being". To train 50 new fosterparents we need Euro 1.000,-.
